Our Story in the Heart of Reisadalen

Welcome to Hasselberg Husky – a small, family-run kennel in beautiful Reisadalen, Northern Troms. Here, surrounded by forest and mountains, we live side by side with our Alaskan huskies and share the joy of dog sledding with guests from all over the world.

Our Story

Our family has lived here in Reisadalen since the 1700s, and dogs have always been a natural part of life on the farm.
What started as a love for nature and animals grew into a passion for dog sledding – and today, Hasselberg Husky offers genuine Arctic experiences for small groups throughout the winter and autumn seasons.
We run the kennel ourselves and care for each dog individually. Every tour is personal – no large crowds, no rush – just you, the dogs, and the silence of the valley.

Life at the Kennel

We currently have around 30–40 Alaskan huskies, each with their own name, personality, and place in the team.
They live outdoors all year, well adapted to the Arctic climate, with daily routines that include feeding, care, training, and lots of human contact.
When they’re not running, they rest, play, or simply enjoy watching life on the farm. We believe in giving our dogs a balance between work, love, and freedom.

Our Philosophy

At Hasselberg Husky, we focus on authentic, sustainable, and safe experiences.
  • Small groups for close contact with the dogs.
  • A calm pace that respects both guests and animals.
  • Focus on safety and proper instruction before each tour.
  • Honest communication and responsible tourism in the Arctic.
We want every guest to leave with a genuine connection to our dogs and to nature.

The Team - Linn & Family

Linn runs the kennel together with her family. She’s been surrounded by animals her entire life and has a deep understanding of dog behavior and care.
Together, they train and prepare the huskies all year – ensuring that every guest can safely experience what it’s like to be part of the team.

The Dogs

Each of our huskies has its own role in the team – from experienced lead dogs to young, eager trainees.
They’re strong, social, and love meeting new people. Guests often remember their names long after the tour is over.

Our Home – Reisadalen

Reisadalen is one of Norway’s most scenic and peaceful valleys, located about 25 km from Storslett in Northern Troms.
The area is known for its rich history, traditional farming, and beautiful wilderness.
Many of our tours follow old farm roads that once connected people and communities more than 100 years ago – today, they are quiet trails shared by people and dogs.
