We will teach you how to prepare the dogs and sled /wagon, and how to drive the sled. All our dogs are nice to people, they are very happy to meet you and really appreciates cuddling. Two persons will be sharing one sled, one driving and the other one enjoying the view comfortably from the sled. You will switch places halfway.
We will drive about 8 km into the beautiful valley Reisadalen, and turn around in a forrest in the wilderness. After a total of about 16 kilometers we are back at Vinnelys again to put the dogs back in their houses. If you want to, join in when it's feeding time. If it is dark outside, there is a huge possibility the northern lights will be visible above us. It is an undescribable feeling to stand in the dogyard with dancing northern lights and howling dogs.
On all our tours, you will get to know the dogs and learn to drive dog sleds. We also have a round of dog cuddling and a photo session for those who are interested.
The age limit for driving yourself is 16 years old – if you are younger you can only participate as a passenger.
Wear warm clothing.
We advice all our customers to activtely participate in the activities to have the best possible experience.
If you have poor health we advise you to not book one of our tours, because dog sledding is a demanding activity.
